65. Conflict

PERSON: adult woman.
DESCRIPTION: her father in need of her assistance; unbearable feeling of repulsion and aversion from her part for that assistance; better a suicide than that (not joking); extreme feeling of guilt for this conflict; emotional struggle since fifty years; perception of an obscure, deep-rooted thing that prevents love for her father and causes an atrocious guilt and a desire to put an end to it by committing suicide or hoping a soon death of her father.
APPROACH: subject's refusal to work only on a reduction of her reactions; insistent request to work on those deep causes, and go in depth hypnotically; induction by using an idea of a poisonous hug of a good parent that when comes close reveals his malignity; beginning of regressive accesses to traumatic memories; my comment: "so you were a 'non child' with a father, while now you want to be a child without a father"; her request of further hypnotic work, this time against her tendency to leave everything in disorder; induction: "to put things in order costs 10, but not finding immediately a thing costs 1. Now, what is better, to lose 10, or 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1? (I don't know). That's it. Nobody knows. 10 is 10. But 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1.. [quick sequence of a lot of '1'] how much is it? (I have lost the count). Exactly.. but it seems to be a lot more than 10, isn't it? Thus it is better to use the less painful way".
RESULT: conflict reduced from 100 to 20 within the first session; subject's incredulity; her need of time in order to understand; end of her conflict during the second session.
UPDATE (6 months): all right.
