Sydney 2009: world hypnotherapy conference

up]. In this 60th year of life of the AHA (Australian Hypnotherapists' Association), I have been invited in Sydney to speak at the international AHA hypnotherapy conference (September 2009). Details in

Academic lesson

Univalbormida, third-age University, academic year 2008-2009 (educational and cultural activities promoted by the town [municipality] of Carcare, by its Council of Culture, and by the Cultural Circle "Calazanzio"), afternoon of April 28th 2009, 16-18 pm: introductory seminar to the students about hypnosis. 08-08-08: IBS day

up]. As announced in July 2008, the entire day of 8 August 2008 (08/08/08, Friday) has been dedicated to those people who suffer from IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). Four hypnotic subjects came to my office with a written referral from their physician (hypnosis against IBS) and they received a free hypnosis session. The day has been very intense.
Phoenix (Arizona)

I have spent almost the entire month of May in the United States in order to meet some colleagues (hypnotherapists) but also to personally live and better understand certain experiences that Milton Erickson suggested to many of his patients. What I have discovered pleasantly surprised me, and I wanted to document it in my own way in an appropriate
file (PDF document, 10.1 MB).
A.V.O. training

up]. It has been a pleasure for me to help the A.V.O. (a no-profit Italian Association of volunteers in hospital) in Cairo Montenotte (Savona), offering them a lesson about the correct communication with hospitalized patients. This meeting is part of the IX course of free training of the A.V.O. (no-profit), year 2008, 11 February - 13 March. The full program, published and distributed by the A.V.O. as a leaflet, can be seen in
fig. 1 (37 KB). The massive participation (more than 50 persons, included a physician of the emergency service) allowed to expand topics even beyond the original program, and several participants, in the following days, noted relevant personal improvements (during the lesson I have seen many persons in the audience going in hypnosis and out of it several times, thus I have accompanied them indirectly in their personal hypnotic work by offering some useful ideas). It has been a very gratifying experience also from the point of view of experimental mass hypnosis.
Birth of Erickson

up]. In 5 December 2007 I offered a special event in honor of Milton Erickson, born in 5 December 1901. Many thanks to all the participants.
